    Hereworks

    Software Engineer
    • Built a new Expo application from scratch and architected the entire front end. It runs on iOS, Android, and the web.
    • Turned Figma designs into production interfaces, integrated AWS backend services, and used Amazon Cognito for authentication.
    • Worked on a second, mobile-only Expo app that included a feature-rich App Clip for iOS users.
    • Introduced code quality and testing processes, oversaw the team's expansion, and took part in hiring.

    Playertek / Catapult Sports

    Software Engineer
    • Joined as Playertek was acquired by Catapult Sports and worked on the main consumer iOS app in Swift, moving from changes on existing screens to building entire new features.
    • Helped build a new cross-platform React Native app for iOS and Android, and was part of moving it from JavaScript to TypeScript.
    • Tested the GPS tracking devices and worked closely with product, QA, and support teams.

    Prometric

    Graduate, then Intermediate Software Engineer
    • Took over and delivered on my own a Windows application that removed the need for the old BizTalk servers, from gathering requirements to deployment. It went to production without issues.
    • Worked with QA colleagues in the US in a follow-the-sun delivery model.
    • Built C# websites and back-end systems, supported production on critical issues, and started a test automation framework for the QA team.

Are you open to remote work?

I work on Irish time, which lines up with the UK and overlaps most of the European working day. I have worked in follow-the-sun setups with colleagues in the US, so the East Coast overlap works well.

What is your main tech stack?

React Native and Expo with TypeScript, backed by AWS (Cognito, DynamoDB, OpenSearch) or Firebase, with Sentry for monitoring. Before that I spent years in C# and .NET, and I have shipped native iOS features in Swift.

Can you work with an existing web team or agency?

Can you take over an existing React Native or Expo app?
